Ακροβατικό αεροσκάφος πετά με μπαταρίες!

Για πρώτη φορά, ένα αεροπλάνο στην κατηγορία CS23 πετά με άδεια Permit-to-Fly αμιγώς ηλεκτρικά. Το αεροπλάνο διαθέτει ηλεκτροκινητήρα ισχύος 260 kW της Siemens που ζυγίζει μόλις 50 kg.

Το ηλεκτροκίνητο ακροβατικό αεροπλάνο Extra 330LE αποτελεί προϊόν της συνεργασίας μεταξύ της Siemens και της Extra Aircraft.

Χάρη στο σωληνωτό πλαίσιο πάνω στο οποίο είναι κατασκευασμένο το αεροσκάφος, οι βασικές του μονάδες, όπως ο ηλεκτροκινητήρας, το inverter και οι μπαταρίες, μπόρεσαν να τοποθετηθούν σχετικά εύκολα.
